The project involved extensive refurbishments to an existing factory, and conversion of an adjacent warehouse, into a chilled food production facility. This included new amenities, dry store with pallet racking, cookhouse, high care assembly areas, chill and freezer rooms, and low care packing area.
MAT Industrial Services were selected as the Principal Contractor. As well as managing all mechanical & electrical and refrigeration contracts, we were also directly responsible for all civil and structural works, stainless steel drainage, resin flooring, and insulated white walling. We worked closely with the client and architect to ensure all planning, building regulations, and project timescales were met.

MAT Industrial Services were contracted to supply and install the doors, and stainless steel protection barriers and posts, for a new chilled food factory. There were over 120 doors in total, including sliders, pedestrian, fire rated doors, and specially designed hatchways for the transfer of products and waste.
The majority of the doorways were then protected with the installation of stainless steel, concrete filled, posts and barrier systems.

Installation of a new composite panel (PIR) ceiling in the Low Care and High Care packing areas.
The project included the installation of new lighting and the reconfiguration of the air intake and extract system.
The work was carried out without disruption to surrounding areas of the site and to a critical deadline.

The project involved extensive refurbishment of an existing factory. The work included an extension to a High Care production and packing area, along with new drainage, walls, doors and lighting.
Other areas of the facility were altered and upgraded with new composite panel walls, ceilings, resin floors, PVC cladding and stainlesss steel protection systems.
MAT were selected as the Principal Contractor and responsible for the design and installation of Structural, civil and M&E Installations
